Founder and executive producer Charlie West's background in outdoor adventure and journalism positions him as a pioneer in outdoor television and media. Along with overseeing production of all current television projects, Charlie is distinguished by his skills as an outdoorsman. Charlie is trained as a licensed bush pilot, advanced cold water and wreck diver, underwater photographer, hunter, fisherman, hiker, and kayaker. 

As a journalist, Charlie holds a Master Degree from the University of California’s Graduate School of Journalism, where he graduated with a Hearst Prize for Investigative Reporting. As president of an independent broadcast production company, he has won numerous awards: the prestigious George Polk award for journalism, Telly Awards (for documentary production), and 35 Awards for Excellence from the Outdoor Writers Association of America.
