Northern California's Summer Albacore
When the offshore waters of northern California warm in late summer, the albacore run. For the intrepid angler who has a rugged boat, and who is willing to spend the time to run thirty or forty miles offshore, there is an opportunity to get into some great fishing. For fast runs and hard fights, there are few fish which rival the albacore. And, there are few fishermen who are more adept at this game than San Francisco saltwater fishermen, Abe and Angelo Cuanang.

Try Deep Ocean Flyfishing
For most people, the word flyfishing conjures up visions of beautiful mountain streams in idyllic settings, a lone angler gracefully casting to the late afternoon rise of a hungry rainbow trout. But, flyfishing has come a long ways from that image. Today's flyfisherman may be fishing the waters of a large lake or stalking the Florida flats in pursuit of bonefish.
Once the home of bait fishermen with heavy offshore rods, the long distance party boat has become the newest home of the flyfisherman. Author and world class flyfisherman Trey Combs reports on a long distance fly fishing trip from San Diego, California.

Dorado Fishing in Baja
Poised for more action after battling the speedy Skipjack, renowned author and saltwater fly fisherman Trey Combs and fellow anglers aboard the Royal Star test their mettle and their fly rods once more, this time against another acrobat of a game fish - the Dorado.
Known variously as the Mahi Mahi and the Dolphin fish, the Dorado is a tough little fighter, who can get up beyond thirty pounds, and here, thirty miles off Mexico's Baja coast, Trey and company get as much action as they can handle, as they find themselves in the middle of a red hot bite.
